| Prayer Requests | |||||
| Here at St Bartholomew's, we have a group of people who meet weekly to pray for those who ask. We have prayer request forms at the back of our church, which are then placed into a box, collected weekly and prayed for every Wednesday. This allows people to remain anonymous if they so wish. Members of the church also contact our prayer co-ordinator directly to ask for prayer. We now have a prayer request facility on our web-site. If you have anything that you would like our group to pray for, please click here to e-mail our Prayer Group giving us details and you can rest assured that this matter will be prayed for on the following Wednesday night. | |||||

| Prayer Ideas | |||||
| Prayer doesn't always have to take place
in Church, you can pray wherever you are at any time.
Talk to God throughout the day. He knows us better than
anyone, He called each of us by name; have conversations
with Him in the way we would talk to our closest friend.
You could pray whilst you are travelling, this could be a
regular time for you to be with God. Alternatively, find a quiet, comfortable place where you can really spend quality time with God, not just talking to Him, try and spend some time in quiet reflection, listening and waiting for the Lord. Read your Bible, you may find your answers in there.
It is important to ask for God's guidance in your life. Don't just wait until things are going wrong and then turn to Him for help (although He is always there to help you). Give thanks for all your blessings, take time to look around you, your family, your work, your church - there is much to give thanks for. Pray for others, those who are sick, your neighbours, your family,wider issues you have seen on the news. Prayer shouldn't be seen as a duty, it should be something we are passionate about, whether we are excited to thank God for His abundant love or urgently needing His help through a difficult situation - there are no limits in prayer. |
